great article here. i note this bc i've been asked to take the lead at my firm, since my mentor – the creative director who hired me and fostered my growth over the last 5 years, so much that i was asked to take his place – is leaving. i'll be researching some more on how to be good at this. i want to make sure i can have the same impact on someone else as he has with me.
i was about to check my google calendar, and saw the WIRED magazine feed headlines. immediately, "Gallery: Nerd Fight Club" caught my attention.
apparently, a group of software engineers in silicon valley meet a couple times a month for a no-rules fight club. there are "rolled magazine" fights, knife plays, along with, i'm sure, regular nerd fights. it's a lofty idea. it's a little more rent than bum fights, but both are sure ways of getting some agression out.
i couldn't imagine if there were "graphic designer fight clubs" or "agency fight clubs" - those could get mighty dangerous.
